Please see the maps below for walks on the farm. There are also lots of walks nearby that you can explore on a local OS map.

Whether you’re an avid Bird Watcher or just looking for a spot of fun, keep your eyes peeled! We are lucky to have a number of beautiful British birds to watch along your walk.

There are a couple of kayaks moored on the lake for guests to use as and when you would like. Just hop on board (with your life jackets on!) and peacefully row around the lake, or take some drinks and snacks to watch the sun going down. Watch out for in-coming ducks and geese!

You are more than welcome to use your own rods and try your hand at trout fishing from the banks of the lake. You are welcome to keep one fish to eat (we recommend cooking it on the BBQ) during your stay but please release anything else back into the lake.
Life jackets must be worn whilst fishing.

For those braver Nesters you can plunge into the Lake to cool off… but be warned it is very chilly and deep so not for the faint hearted!
Otherwise we highly recommend paddling and splashing from the safety of the shore.
Children must be accompanied at all times and wear arm bands or floats where necessary. -
Take some goodies down through the hand gate (at the bottom left corner of the Nest field) and sit in the secluded area by the lake and watch the world go by!
HAVE FUN & STAY SAFE
Life jackets must be worn for any water based activities other than swimming. You will find them in the storage box on The Nest side of the lake (Padlock code: 3333). Please put these back and lock once you have finished using them.
Children are the responsibility of their parents or minders and must be supervised at all times around any water.
Swimming is done so at your own risk.
Walks around The Nest
You are free to roam in the field surrounding The Nest. The woods opposite the lake have a brilliant den. If you would like to visit the lake please use the hand gate and be sure to close it after so the sheep don’t escape!
Dogs should be on a lead to avoid disturbing any NESTing birds. Children must not go into the lake field unless accompanied by an adult.
Follow the line below, it will take about 1 hour, passing through woodland, farmland with sheep and cattle and back through the village of Southorpe.
For a short walk, follow the pink line. It will take you about 20 minutes.

It is available to book on an hourly basis. £50 per hour. Please email us to book.

Hire an authentic wood-fired hot tub for the duration of your stay, set up next to your Lodge for your exclusive use. A truly magical experience under the stars with the lake twinkling in the backdrop. As we only have one hot tub experience to offer please enquire quickly to avoid missing out! (£200 for your stay).

Cosy up under the stars for an outdoor film experience by your Lodge with the crackling fire pit to keep you warm! Please let us know in advance if you would like to book. (£75 for the evening).

Depending on availability you can also book Yoga, a massage or a facial for you in your tent. Please see below for our Spa Menu.

You can hire up to two paddle boards to glide around the lake on for your stay.

If you want to create a real sense of occasion one evening we are very excited to be able to offer a table laying and tidying service. We have curated a beautiful tablescape with LAY London that will really put the Glam in Glamping and wow your guests! We can lay for as little as two people, for a romantic evening, or as many as 18 if you have the whole site for a big party. (£15 per person, with a minimum charge of £90).

We have a couple of wonderful local chefs who are able to cater for a special occasion and will arrange a menu and food to best suit you. For pricing, booking and availability please get in touch as soon as possible!

Our Gozney pizza oven is available to hire for your ultimate pizza making party. We provide the dough and delicious Passata so all you need to do is bring your favourite toppings. Email us to enquire about availability - let’s get rolllllling! (£60 to hire for up to 6 people, £4 a head above this).
